# Transfer Protection

**Transfer Protection** prevents users from accidentally transferring tokens to a smart contract address. By default, Biport Wallet's Transfer Protection mode is enabled to protect user funds.

Go to **Settings > Advanced Settings** and switch **Address Transfer Protection** ON or OFF:

* Turn ON to prevent unintended or mistaken transfers to a smart contract address.
* Turn OFF to allow transfers to a smart contract address.

Always be cautious when sending tokens to another wallet! You cannot reverse a transaction once it is complete.
